Should you opt to sell the truck, be sure that the price you are going to ask for is reasonable. Giving it a higher price will reduce the possibility of it getting sold. If the money that you get out of it is still not enough to pay off the loan, ask the bank for a short sale, which is the sale of the truck for a price that is less than the remaining amount on the loan. The bank may choose to accept that amount as the full payment or a partial one in which case you will just have to come up with the difference.
