When you hear the word caravan you probably think of a lot of people traveling through the Sahara desert with camels and what not. Well, today the word caravan is also used to describe motor homes or mobile homes. So if you here someone telling you that they bought a caravan and it’s great, you won’t be so confused.
So why would you want to buy a caravan? Well, there are many different reasons but we will only discuss a couple in this post. The main reason why people buy caravans is because it allows them to be able to live wherever they want. You can live in a caravan for a very long time because it has almost all of the basic household utilities that you can find in homes, like a bathroom, stove, bed, etc; all the basic things you need to survive. So a lot of people choose to buy a caravan because they just want to live out in the open with the opportunity to drive around as well. If you want to try something different you should consider either renting or buying a caravan and spending a couple weeks in it driving around and living outdoors away from the city in the fresh air. Another reason why people buy campers or caravans is the fact that it is actually cheaper to live in a camper than it is to rent a apartment. If you own your house you will still have to pay property and other taxes for it so you will still be spending money on it. Property taxes for a house can get quite high and they can take quite a toll on your budget. When you live in a caravan all you will have to pay for is gas, food, and water.
If you are constantly driving your camper around than you will have to pay a significant amount of money for gas otherwise you won’t have to pay so much. If you look at the amount of money you are spending on taxes or rent and then you live in a mobile home for the same amount of time and compare the amount of money you are spending chances are you will be spending a lot less living in the mobile home. So if you want to try something different and fun I suggest you buy a mobile home. You should think of the purchase as a investment because if you lose your house you can always go to your caravan.
